Friday, April 12 (Will)

Friday was by far the most enjoyable day of the trip. To start off the day we met with an Olympic athlete that told us his stories about competing, and going to college in Boston. And then afterward we made our journey to Croke Park stopping along the way for pizza. Once we arrived at Croke Park we were greeted by our tour guide, Connor, who showed us around Croke Park. In the tour we got to see the locker rooms, the function room and finally got to go on the roof which was the coolest part. On the roof we got to walk around and at the end we went on a part of the path the was hanging over the field. All around Friday was my favorite day so far on the trip.

After the hustle of yesterday today was definitely more relaxing. From what I know, many of us slept for a while. Today for me I went to my exchange students grandparents house. While walking we saw amazing scenery. With amazing mountains in the background. As we go I’m sure we will see more scenery like this everywhere.

Saturday/Sunday: Weekend with host families (Kip)

Saturday was a good day as we arrived around 8 am. When I first got here I got some rest then we went to downtown to go out to eat. We ate a spice bag which is just chicken fingers and fries in a bag with a bunch of spices. Then we went to a rugby game which was awesome as the atmosphere was amazing the whole time. Leinster ended up winning which is the time everyone roots for in Dublin. It was a great first day to the trip and excited to be here for two weeks!

Tuesday, April 9 (Sam)

  We had a lot of fun today inside the school, where we were able to experience a science class from one of the Belvedere science teachers, learn more about Irish culture with a movie, and some of us prepared for our upcoming debate with Belvedere students. We had some fun experiments with the science class, learned a lot about niche scientific topics, and got to show off our knowledge in the world of science! The debate group worked hard to prepare and hopefully score the BC High team a win this year, and the movie we watched, called Sing Street, was a great insight into Irish culture from a previous era!
