Monday, April 8 (Ruairi)

Today we were welcomed to the school with a great breakfast and tour. The Belvedere campus is unique and very different from Bc High. Belvedere has an old campus built vertically through intricate hallways and bridges. After we got a tour of  Belvedere’s aqua-phonics system from Mr. O’Donnell. It was fascinating to see this system ten years in the making. After this we got to see the Belvedere bees. There they have  around 250,000 bees in several hives. A window in the hive allowed us to see inside and  we got to learn about how these bees live. Shortly after we departed for our walking tour. Despite the weather it was a great tour especially thanks to our guide, Patricia. Some highlights were the Garden of Remembrance, the GPO, the spire, Trinity campus, and Dublin castle. All these places were visually impressive but we also learned the history behind them. Even through the cold and rain it was a good day and are looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of the trip.
